Hellboy and a rookie B.P.R.D. agent are sent to the Appalachians in the 1950s to investigate reports of strange events. Upon reaching the remote mountain community, they soon discover that the area is controlled by witches. These witches, feared by the locals, are led by a demon known as the Crooked Man. The demon’s influence over the region has been long-standing, and his power is deeply entrenched in the community.
